Connelly to Star in Barker and Del Toro's 'Born'
June 12, 2007 -- Clive Barker and Guillermo del Toro collaborate to produce "Born," a new "thriller" that may or may not qualify as a horror film. Actress Jennifer Connelly and real life husband Paul Bettany are all set to work together on a new psychological thriller titled Born.
'Born' will be directed and co-written by Daniel Simpson and produced by Guillermo del Toro, Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin.
In the movie, Bettany and Connelly play a couple settling in a peaceful town to raise their family, but things start going weird when Bettany's claymation creations start coming to life.
Born, which is the first project to be started by Los Angeles-based finance and production shingle ClearVision Media Production Group, is expected to start production in mid-August in the U.K.
Meanwhile Connelly has finished 'Reservation Road,' opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo for Focus Features, while Bettany has wrapped up 'Inkheart,' which stars Helen Mirren, Brendan Fraser and Andy Serkis.
