Radio Horror From Canada

November 9, 2006 -- Canada's popular Rue Morgue Magazine now has its own online radio show. Canada’s leading internet radio service, is now home to RUE MORGUE RADIO, the world wide web’s original all-horror music broadcast and audio offshoot of Rue Morgue Magazine, one of the world’s leading horror genre publications. The weekly broadcast (available every Friday) is now available for download at www.icebergradio.com and, beginning January 2007, will also see a format overhaul in celebration of its burgeoning audience.

“We are hugely happy to be part of Iceberg Radio and are very excited to bring the Rue Morgue presence to a wider audience,” commented Rue Morgue president Rodrigo Gudińo.

A genre staple since 2002, RUE MORGUE RADIO is a specialized weekly music show that features interviews with luminaries in the horror biz and reviews of the latest fright films. Hosted by Rue Morgue’s Tomb Dragomir and featuring columnists Stuart “Feedback” Andrews and Chris Alexander, RUE MORGUE RADIO showcases the latest macabre music from around the globe: from dark rock, horror punk, psychobilly and goth, to movie soundtracks, creepy classical funeral music and more. The new year will see the show extended to an hour long format along with new segments, new personalities and, of course, more music.

Listeners can tune in this Friday to www.icebergradio.com or the show’s original site at www.ruemorgueradio.com for an interview with SCOTT GLOSSERMAN, director of BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON and a dissection of the 1971 Eurotic lesbian vampire classic DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS, along with a specialized selection of tunes from the tomb.

Officially launched two days before Halloween in 1997, RUE MORGUE has become a genre institution with one of the leading magazines in the world. Over its nine year history, RUE MORGUE has developed The Rue Morgue Festival of Fear, Canada’s first national horror expo, Rue Morgue Records, featuring its flagship release Nightmare Picture Theatre, Rue Morgue Presents CineMacabre, an ongoing monthly movie screening in Toronto’s legendary Bloor Cinema, and RUE MORGUE CINEMA, its own film production company.

ICEBERG RADIO is Canada’s leading internet radio service with over 100 channels streaming commercial-free music, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
