'Bird with the Crystal Plumage' to Hit Blu-Ray   

November 5, 2008 More exciting news on the Blu-Ray front! Dario Argento's groundbreaking giallo classic "The Bird with the Crystal Plumage" is going to strike Blu-Ray courtesy of Blue Underground.



The film is striking Blu-Ray February 24. This is one of Argento's best films and is far more mystery than horror.

High Def Digest reports:

Tech specs will see a BD-50 dual-layer presentation with newly-remastered 1080p video and English audio tracks in DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 7.1 Surround and Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Surround. (An Italian track is also set for inclusion, but exact audio specs remain TBA.)

Extras include an audio commentary with journalists Alan Jones and Kim Newman, four interview featurettes ("Out Of The Shadows," "Painting With Darkness," "The Music Of Murder" "Eva's Talking") and theatrical trailers and TV spots.




Other titles on Blue Underground's growing Blu-Ray slate include the cheese fest "The Final Countdown" and Argento's "The Stendhal Syndrome."
