Rob Zombie Will Reportedly Film 'Halloween 2'

December 2, 2008 Word is out that the helmers of "Inside" are off the "Halloween II" sequel to Rob Zombie's "Halloween". So then who would direct? Why not Rob Zombie himself?

Now it looks like Rob Zombie is directing "Halloween 2." STYD first reported the rumor and reps from Rob Zombie are not denying it. Apparently, a press release is due in a day or two.

Given just how terrible Zombie's "Halloween" remake was, this shouldn't come as good news. But it is somewhat predictable, because his film was a huge commercial success. It also means his much anticipated "Tyrannosaurus Rex" is going to be put on hold.

On the bright side, it means that we are getting another horror movie in cineplexes. The 2000s are beginning to feel more like the '80s, what with "My Bloody Valentine," "Halloween II" and "Friday the 13th" back in theaters again.
