'Exorcist' Gets a Blu-Ray Date

July 6, 2009 "The Exorcist" finally gets released to Blu-Ray -- and it's easily the biggest horror Blu-Ray announcement of the year! "The Exorcist" will hit the format Sept. 8, The Digital Bits reports. It will be the "Version You Have Never Seen" edition of the film -- which is fine. Basically this version isn't drastically different from the original theatrical version -- although it does feature the "spider walk" cut from the original film.

No cover art or specifics on extras is available yet. But it will be a pleasure to watch this masterpiece in high definition.
