Anyone that hasn't seen "Let the Right One In" should get a copy of it -- especially now that current editions of the U.S. DVD now have the correct subtitles.

Interest will probably prick up a bit with the English-language remake of the film, which now officially has a release date. As announced today via press release:
On behalf of Overture Films, we are pleased to announce the Official Release Date for their upcoming film, LET ME IN, which will open in theaters on October 1st, 2010. Currently shooting in New Mexico, the film directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) stars Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road), Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) and Oscar®nominee Richard Jenkins (The Visitor).
Matt Reeves is certainly a major talent so we'll see how the remake stacks up. But, as usual, it's always a shame to see a film as good as "Let the Right One In" being remade, when fans should be encouraged to watch the original.
In other, English-language remake news, Mark Pellington has been announced as the director of the remake of "The Orphanage."
