This trailer was cut from first seven days of filming, Coming in 2010 from Momentum Pictures, Dead Cert is Steve Lawson's sophomore directorial effort, a gangster/vampire action thriller.
Craig Fairbrass stars as Freddy Frankham, a man who thought hed left the world of organised crime behind. But on the eve of the opening of his new venture, an upmarket gentlemens club called Paradise, Freddy finds himself drawn back into a life hed rather leave in the past.
Freddys brother-in-law, the gangster Eddie Christian (Dexter Fletcher), has become involved with a group of Romanian newcomers, who are trafficking a toxic new party drug, Bliss, into the UK, and when Freddy agrees to let Eddie and the Romanians use the Paradise as the location for a deal, he is tempted into making a deal with Dante Livienko (Billy Murray), head of the Romanian group. The contest - a boxing match between Livienkos biggest thug and Freddys brother-in-law Dennis (Danny Midwinter), prize bare-knuckle fighter. The stakes - the deeds to Freddys club. But nothing is what it seems with the enigmatic Livienko - the fight is a murder, the deal is a con, and Freddy finds himself on the ropes, battered, beaten, with a choice in front of him - lie down and let Livienko take the club, or use everything in his power to take down the Romanians and get his dream back. Ignoring the cryptic warnings of the fanatical ex-priest Mason, Freddy and his boys tool up and smash their way into the newly-renamed Inferno club, only to find that there is rather more to Dante Livienko, and his minions, than meets the eye or tooth.
