Ghost House to Do 'Day of the Triffids' - Sam Raimi May Direct

October 21, 2010 "Day of the Triffids" was one of the coolest apocalyptic sci-fi films from the '60s and is somehow totally out of print on DVD. Maybe it will come back when Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures produces teh remake.

Deadline Hollywood reports that Ghost House has won an auction for the rights to the film and Raimi may even direct it. The original movie was one of his boyhood favorites, which is understandable because it's a great movie.
