November 6, 2010
In the 1990s and early 2000s we Americans got screwed with DVD releases. Now the same thing is happening with Blu-Ray in 2010. On November 22, Dario Argento's masterpiece, "Deep Red," hits Blu-Ray in the UK courtesy of Arrow, who have already released Argento's "Suspiria" and "Inferno" in the format. On the same day, Arrow will be releasing the classic Mario Bava slasher "A Bay of Blood" in the format.

Meanwhile, Brits already have the original "I Spit On Your Grave" on Blu-Ray. Two of the essential Argento titles are on Blu-Ray in the UK already: "Suspiria," "Inferno," are already out. "Phenomena" and "Tenebre" are due out on Blu-Ray by the end of March in the UK.
Meanwhile, the classic anthology horror film "Spirits of the Dead" is due out Nov. 15. No word on it or the Argento films making their way to Blu-Ray in the USA.
Basically, it's time to get a region-free Blu-Ray player and start bidding on Ebay for these import titles. There's no word on Argento's films, "Bay of Blood", "Spirits of the Dead" or the original "Spit On Your Grave" making their way to the Blu-Ray format in the U.S. anytime soon.
