Rutger Hauer to Play Van Helsing in Dario Argento's 'Dracula'

February 22, 2011 After the horrible "Giallo," Dario Argento will hopefully stage a comeback with his 3D offering, "Dracula." The film is in preproduction, and Rutger Hauer has just joined the cast. So says the press in Italy.

Hauer played Dracula once for Dimension Films so it's interesting to see him back in the story again -- this time as the good guy doctor. Hopefully Argento will fill this film with tons of gore and visual flare -- and avoid the talkiness that made "Giallo" such a snooze fest.
