'Scream' Films Get a Last-Minute Blu-Ray Release

March 2, 2011 If there's one franchise that's been absent from the Blu-Ray scene for too long it's the "Scream" films. One of the most successful horror franchises ever. Well, Blu rays will now hit stores March 29!

Lionsgate will be releasing them. What isn't clear is whether we will see the fully uncut version of the original "Scream". The version that hit theaters and hit VHS and DVD was cut. I don't even think that a proper anamorphic version of "Scream" was even released to DVD -- so this is a pretty momentous occasion for horror fans.

Plus it's just in time for the big theatrical release of "Scream 4" on April 15.
