'Day of the Dead' Gets Another Remake

November 25, 2013 After one rather controversial remake less than a decade ago from director Steve Miner, George Romero's flawed but classic 1985 zombie film "Day of the Dead" is now being treated to another remake! This time Millennium Films has selected Mark Tonderai, helmer of "House at the End of the Street," to make it.

He and Lars Jacobson are writing the film too. Next to "Night of the Living Dead," Romero's "Day of the Dead" is turning out to be the most remade of his "Living Dead" films, with both a "Day of the Dead 2" sequel and a remake bearing its name.
