Slamedance vs. Sundance

December 6, 2007 Slamdance has announced its horror movie lineup, and here it is.

Three genre films in the Twilight section are Jon Knautz's "Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer" starring Robert Englund, Steven Goldmann's "Trailer Park of Terror" and Jeffrey Schwarz's docu "Spine Tingler! The William Castle Story" featuring John Landis, Roger Corman, Marcel Marceau and Joe Dante. Another film in the competition is Oren Peli's supernatural thriller "Paranormal Activity," A supernatural thriller featuring shocking footage of a demonic haunting.

The Slamdance Film Festival takes place in January in Utah at the same time as the Sundance Film Festival, in hot competition with that fest since 1995.
