Yesterday we reported that gorgeous Danielle Panabaker had joined the cast of Marcus Nispel's "Friday the 13th" remake. Turns out she is the lead.
She'll be playing the "adventurous, athletic girlfriend" of a rich athlete played by Travis van Winkle, "a rich alpha male that gathers everyone together."
Aaron Yoo, meanwhile, will be playing a character named Chumbler, "who's a little quirky and has a tendency to wear his attraction to pretty girls on his sleeve."
Jonathan Sadowski will play "a techie who knows the horrific history of Camp Crystal Lake."
All this according to this morning's Hollywood Reporter.
Sounds like your standard "Friday the 13th" movie. Apparently this film is not so much a remake as a sequel, using the "Friday the 13th" title in the same way that the fourth "Rambo" film called itself "Rambo" instead of "Rambo IV." So die-hard fans of the franchise can go in knowing it's a continuation of the original story -- apparently set somewhere between parts 2 and 4.
