In October two new editions of John Carpenter's "Halloween" and Rob Zombie's "Halloween" hit DVD (and in the case of Zombie's remake, Blu-Ray). October 7 sees both a 3-disc special edition (and 2-disc Blu-Ray edition) of Zombie's remake and a 6-disc "ultimate, ultra, anniversary edition" of Carpenter's classic.

The Zombie special features include:

Meanwhile, also on October 7, Anchor Bay releases a 6-disc package devoted to Carpenter's 1978 masterpiece. This will include the original '78 film, the extended edition of the film (out of print for some time now), the films "Halloween 4: Return of Michael Myers" and "Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers." It even comes with a Myers mask!
