Raimi Approves 'Evil Dead' Musical Movie

September 8, 2008 The stage play "Evil Dead: The Musical" is getting the big screen treatment, with the approval of Sam Raimi.

And, get this: It will be in 3-D! The musical will be co-directed by the musical’s original director, Christopher Bond, and choreographer, Hinton Battle. This, according to Screen Daily.

Fun idea, I guess, and it shows just how iconic this little horrro movie has become that a film musical in the works. But it also makes a horror movie remake unlikely -- and even less likely a sequel.
