Don't Look Now (1973)
Directed by Nicolas Roeg

Starring Clelia Matania Donald Sutherland Hilary Mason Julie Christie Massimo Serato

Really outstanding, thinking man's supernatural suspense mystery from director Nicolas Roeg, the guy who brought us the far-out and freaky "Man Who Fell to Earth," starring David Bowie, and "Performance," starring Mick Jagger. Like many of his movies, this story goes backward and forward in time, although this is easily one of the most accessible (and best) films by Roeg. Sutherland and Christie area couple who meet a pair of psychic sisters, who say they've seen a vision of their daughter drowning. Then Sutherland starts having visions too.

Roeg delivers a genuinely suspenseful mystery and you won't see the twist ending coming, we promise. A must-see for any thinking horror fan. But the film is remembered best for a sex scene between Sutherland and Christie, apparently pretty unusual stuff for a big-budget film like this in the early 1970s.
