Director Brownrigg proved that he was indeed just a one-hit wonder when he created this deeply flawed and dull "gothic" psychological "thriller."
Despite some nice atmosphere, featuring some spooky-looking antique dolls, and the world's first and only phone-sex "rape" if you can call it that, this story of a battle over an inheritance that results in murder and madness sucks ass. Skip it. Fans of Brownrigg's one and only good film, "Don't Look in the Basement!", may want to check it out since it mirrors some of that movie's style and features at least one of the same actors.
