Children of the Corn IV The Gathering (1996)
Directed by George Spence

Starring Brent Jennings Karen Black Naomi Watts

Plotless entry in the weak series has more Midwestern kids worshiping "He Who Walks Behind The Rows" and killing adults. Karen Black got roped into performing into this direct-to-video piece of garbage, and it was nice to see her in a white trash role again. She faces twin boys who have joined the "corn cause," adopting biblical names and killing adults that try to discipline them.

Aside from a nice opening shot of a corn kid staring blankly into the screen and a pretty freaky "Exorcist"-style possession scene involving some hospitalized kids, there's little worthwhile in this movie -- although it does feature Naomi Watts (of "The Ring") in an early role.
