Headspace (2005)
Directed by Andrew van den Houten

Starring Christopher Denham Dee Wallace William Atherton

A pretty weak direct-to-video/festival circuit effort, "Headspace" is a slow paced excuse for a series of cameos by aging horror movie veterans Olivia Hussey, Dee Wallace and Udo Kier. With a couple of thrown-in sex scenes and a monster hand that turns up to kill a few characters, the film eventually made its way to cable. But it's miss-able to say the least and will likely fade into oblivion, despite a catchy title.

Denham plays a young man tormented by headaches and genius abilities that enable him to suddenly read books ultra-fast and know test questions before he's asked them. In addition to that, suddenly everyone he meets is being killed off one by one by a mysterious pig-nosed demon-creature. Along the way, he runs into Dee Wallace (playing a doctor), Olivia Hussey (playing another doctor), Udo Kier (playing a priest) and Sean Young (playing his mother in a flashback). The all character-actor cameo-athon eventaully leads him to discover that his problems are related to some kind of portal to a demon realm or something like that.

Weak, weak, weak stuff from 2005 that takes itself way too seriously. When you walk past it in your Blockbuster, just walk on by.
