To the Devil a Daughter (1976)
Directed by Peter Sykes

Starring Christopher Lee Denholm Elliott Honor Blackman Michael Goodliffe Nastassja Kinski Richard Widmark

Before going out of business, Hammer Films cashed in on "The Exorcist" craze with this rather good, religious pic about a bad-guy priest (Lee) who wants to unite a young nun (Nastassja Kinski, who has a full nude scene).

Many people have dissed the special effects in this film, which mainly involve a demon baby, but I didn't find them too phony. The story is slow, but the acting and direction are decent. All in all, it isn't a half bad movie, but it was certainly a low note considering it was the last one produced by the late, great Hammer horror factory.

Based on a novel by Dennis Wheatley.
